The Chief Executive Officer of Goodmus Learning Centre, Lagos, Mr Adekunle Badmus, has appealed to the Nigerian government to invest more in education.
Speaking on Monday while students were writing an entrance examination called YOS into Turkish Universities at the Goodmus Learning Centre, Badmus, said quality education was the best any nation could provide for its citizens.
He explained that the Turkey education was the best and similar in standard to what was obtainable in America and U.K, adding that the bilateral agreement which the Turkish government signed with Nigeria had provided several opportunities for Nigerians to study in Turkey with ease.
“It is only quality education that connotes the best education, and there is the need for an affordable system of education which is what Turkey offers. The government has signed a bilateral agreement with Turkish government to ensure Nigerians get a good education and standard life when they are there. We have relationships with 60 government-owned universities and the quality is the same as what you get in the U.S, U.K. Help somebody, let us help our nation to grow, there are too many people roaming the streets.”
He added that Lagos residents would still sit the YOS on July 23, 2022, Akwa-Ibom candidates would sit on July 1, 2022 and Abuja candidates would hold on July 5, 2022.
Badmus said students with National Examination Council and The West African Senior School Certificate Examination certificates , and between the ages of 15 and 21 years could write the YOS examination for admission into higher institutions in Turkey.
Also speaking, the ambassador of Goodmus Learning Cenre and actress, Mrs Idowu Phillips, popularly known as ‘Iya Rainbow,’ advised parents and philanthropists to assist the less privileged in the society with education in Turkey.
She said, “This is the best opportunity anyone can get. Nigerians should seize the opportunity and give their children or less privileged students around them good education in Turkey. These children are our future, let us support them. Turkey is a cheap and affordable place to live and get a quality education. I’m in support of Goodmus Learning Centre.”
